I’m John Howis, a fine artist and graphic designer with over 20 years in the industry. I started Afterhours Gallery as a late-night side project - hence the name.
I was searching for modern, affordable art for my own home but kept hitting the same problem: the choice was either overpriced originals or mass-produced, soulless prints. Nothing in between.
As a designer, I knew I could create something better. I started experimenting with digital art, photography, illustration, and mixed media, combining my love of bold graphics, music, fashion, and vintage aesthetics. That’s how Afterhours was born.

It was painted with two strokes. It should be one confident one. Practice makes perfect. I said I wasn't happy as the quality was not what is pictured and to practice using cheap black ink and cheap paper.

The larger ones are printed on more canvas like material. The smaller one is basically on paper, but the paper is good, and is holding up.
